UPSC EPFO APFC Exam 2023

Age Eligibility - Candidate who is above the age of 21 and is below 35 years of age is eligible for APFC. (There is a relaxation of 5 years on the age limit if you belong to SC/ST category, and of 3 years in the case of the OBC category. Other relaxations available are also mentioned in the notification released by UPSC.)

Educational Qualification - Candidates must have completed graduation from a recognised university in any discipline. Other desirable qualifications are mentioned by UPSC which might or might not affect Interview scores.

Exam Pattern 2023 - EPFO APFC exam includes two phases, Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 is the only written exam (only MCQ Based Objective Type Questions) of the entire examination process, and Phase 2 is the Personal Interview. 

Phase 1 exam: The exam features a total of 120 questions and the duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes). The exam will consist of 100 marks. There shall be negative marking of 1/3 marks upon marking a wrong answer. The Phase 1 exam is divided into two sections: Section A and Section B.
Section A contains only the General English part.
Section B includes a variety of subjects, such as: Indian Culture, Heritage and Freedom Movements, and Current Events, Population, Development, and Globalization, Governance and Constitution of India, Accounting and Auditing, Industrial Relations, Labor Laws, Insurance, Basic knowledge of Computer applications, General Science, Elementary Mathematics, Statistics, and General Mental Ability, Social Security in India, Present trends in the Indian Economy.

The Phase 2 is Personal Interview, hence there is no pattern associated with this stage. The Personal Interview carries a total of 100 marks.
